Candace & Mike

Candace and Mike have a cool story to go with their love. They are both from Hawaii, in fact they lived just 10 minutes away from each other..but it took coming out to Trinity Western in Langley to meet each other and fall in love. They contacted me about taking their engagement photos for them in BC while they travelled through this summer, and I was more than happy to oblige them! We spent the afternoon snapping pics at different spots around Stanley park..and what a great afternoon it was! Check out a small sampling of the shots from this day in July.

Chantal & James – Engagement

I met James and Chantal through a family shoot I did a while back for the Wallace’s (and James’ sister Stacey), and was happy to hear they were interested in having me shoot their wedding. We met over coffee, talked about some of the details, and decided we’d do an engagement shoot in the summer. A few months later we headed out to white rock, and were greeted with a beautiful summer morning on the beach. Check out a few shots from the day!

Leap of Faith – Cyrus Centre Fundraiser

About a month ago, Cyrus Centre – a local youth resource-centre and emergency shelter (and my other place of employment) – had it’s second annual ‘Leap of Faith’ fundraiser at the Skydiving strip in Abbotsford. We had 10 people jump this year, and with each raising a minimum of $700 to jump it ended up being a great fundraiser! We had lots of community support with Kal-Tire sponsoring a by donation BBQ and with an Abbotsford Police Officer taking the jump for the second straight year. It was a great day out in the sun, raising a good chunk of change for Cyrus.

Angie & Joe – Wedding

Life is busy. I have essentially been working 2 full-time jobs for the past 2 months, and sadly I have had to cut out blogging from my schedule. But, after a month of no blog posts, I am finally reaching a time where I can begin to catch up.

And what better place to start then Angie & Joe’s July 2nd abbotsford wedding! It was a beautiful day (especially for our summer) and a pleasure to photograph. I was grinning almost the entire day as I snapped shots that I couldn’t wait to get back home to see. Thanks for the beautiful day guys!

New Packaging

I was excited to get my new packaging in the mail today! I’ve been wanting something a little more classy than the traditional plastic case for some time now, so when I stumbled upon these awesome tin cases on Kijiji I couldn’t say no. Sure I had to get them shipped from Saskatchewan, but at $0.40 a piece (after shipping) how can you beat it? I paired them with some custom made dvd labels and am stoked with the end result. Custom versions of these will now be included with all my wedding packages and engagement sessions (and if I can get my own printer running, with all other photo sessions as well).

Let me know what you think!

Shultz Guitars – Full Post

As promised, here is a more complete look at the shoot I did with Bryce Shultz and his beautifully hand-crafted acoustic guitars. These things are immaculate, and sound spectacular!! If you are interested in a custom, one-of-a-kind, guitar, let me know and I will get you in contact with Bryce.

Jennifer & Cody – Full Post

Ok, I’ve made you wait long enough..Here is the full post of Jennifer and Cody Kwak’s wedding. Now that I finally had time to make a blog post I decided I made it extra long just to try and make up for the wait:)

It was fun going back through the pics from this day, as they are some of my favourites..not just because I love the pics, but also because it reminded me how fun that day was..I always enjoy snapping pics of Jennifer and Cody, and their energetic son Riley, and to top it off my lovely girlfriend Emilie joined me and helped to capture this beautiful day! A few of her shots of the girls getting ready and setting the scene at the church are mixed in below. She’s got skills*
